I agree with 2 additional points: 1 the way challange is preseneted is also important, it eather motivates change or results in defence. 2. just like challanging someone it is equal important to praise them for their accomplishements. My kids are my best critics, they point out hahah truth and often they are right.

You asked so here's my response. I used to think like what you said in this video. So, for 35 years, I let people stepped all over me, used me and I kept telling myself that "fire test gold, and tough love is hard." My conscience struck, my inner peace suffered, and my self confidence depleted. When I could not take it no more, I stood up and guess what. I feel stronger, I can breath again, and I can hear the inner voice inside me that I never experienced before. So, respectfully no sir. You are misleading this time.

This is absolutely true. I had a deep seated fear and anxiety about driving. My husband encouraged me and even bought me a car. I’m so glad I can just hop into it now.

I totally agree with you. However, it is often very hard to tell what are healthy challenges. Interpretation also plays are huge part. I was raised in a family with tough love and keep pushing me to do better. That caused some inner wounds, but I understand the intentions and I’m ok with it. But if you’re trying to challenge someone who is raised completely different… let’s just say there are other interpretations of it.
