Yup my uncle Joe told us a story that when he was younger, he was with his dad. He’s about a 81 or 84 right now. He said that when he went into a store with my grandpa that they said no Mexicans or Negros allowed. They do erase our story because Mexicans and Indians were the first Cowboys! We had to show the settlers. And The Mexican president who formally abolished slavery in 1829 was Vicente Guerrero, an independence hero of mixed African and Indigenous descent. His decree made Mexico a safe haven where enslaved people escaping the United States could find permanent freedom. They don’t put that in history books!
