@grahamcweaver: Your identity isn't fixed—you get to choose it. Most of us inherit our identity from our past. The labels we absorbed as kids. The things we were told we were (or weren't). It's reactive, handed to us by our environment. But here's the shift: your identity can also come from your destination-the person you want to become. The simplest way to start? Set a goal so inspiring you have to grow into it. Write it down every day. Let it tug at your heart. Then start living as if you've already become that person. When I was in college, I wrote down that I wanted to be the Number 1 rower in the world. My times weren't there yet. My strength wasn't there. But the moment I wrote it down, a part of me assumed that identity-and I started training and showing up like the person who'd already achieved it. That's the magic.
