i think breast feeding/ pumping is a huge contributor in PPD/PPA i had it so bad with my daughter with my son he’s on formula and i am still all over the place but significantly less

One thing my cousin told me before I had my daughter is that it's OK if you don't have that instant bond at the beginning with your baby because you haven't actually met them in real life yet and you still develop a relationship with them and that helped me so much because I ended up having a C-section and I was pretty numb and in shock! 💗

I wish I had heard this from another mom when my first few months postpartum. It was so incredibly lonely and it truly felt like no one understood. And you’re so right…the guilt made me feel even worse than I did. Thank you for sharing. This is so healing even years later.

You are my favorite, for speaking on things not many do! For normalizing this and not making me feel like it is such a bad thing and that others go through it too🙏🏼

Also helps having a village. I’m with both my children all except 2 hours a week for physical therapy so i feel very limited to what I can do… can’t even run in for a polar pop

I felt the exact same! Big time mourning period for my old life. Of course I loved my baby and I loved watching him grow and learn new things, but 3 years in and 2 babies later I’m still learning to love my new life.

Yes so relatable! Honestly having my first baby was so difficult because of the huge life change and grieving my old life, not even taking care of the baby

This is exactly how I felt with my son, that first year was the hardest to adapt to, and hubby was gone over the road all the time 🥹 4 years later we’re thriving!
