If you run a service business and you keep your equipment, your trucks and your real estate inside that same LLC, one lawsuit can take all of it. The fix is boring and old: put the assets in a holding company and lease them to a separate service LLC. If the service side gets sued, hits a water line or rear-ends someone, the assets sit in another entity and stay untouched. You can even bankrupt the service company, spin up a new one and keep operating. Same playbook for real estate. Same playbook for digital assets. Save this if you own a business.
