Losing Mom changed my world in ways words can’t fully explain. The day she left, something shifted inside me—like the ground beneath my feet quietly gave way. Life kept moving, the sun still rose, people still laughed, but my heart learned a new kind of silence it had never known before. Some days the grief is loud and heavy, filling every corner of my thoughts. Other days it sits quietly beside me, a gentle ache that reminds me how deeply I was loved. I miss her voice, her warmth, the way she could make everything feel okay without saying much at all. I miss knowing I could reach for her whenever life felt uncertain. Time has passed, but missing her has not faded. It has simply changed shape. It lives in the little moments—when I wish I could call her, when I need comfort, when something good happens and she’s the first person I want to tell. Her absence is felt in both the joy and the sorrow. Yet even in the pain, I am grateful. Grateful that I was loved so fully. Grateful for every memory, every lesson, every quiet moment we shared. Losing my mom broke my heart, but loving her shaped my soul forever. She may be gone from my sight, but she is never gone from me. She lives in my heart, in my memories, and in the love that will always remain.
