Today we are back and I am showing one of my favourite ever Christmas tips, and the best part is it may save you a fortune too! This year trying to find a good wreath has been so hard, mostly due to a good one costing upwards of £60 where I live, so I thought I would make my own. Then I saw anyathegardenfairy make one out of a potato and I couldn’t believe it, haha it is such a glaringly obvious floral foam substitute which I have missed for years. So inspired by her, I decided to make my own from foraged material in the garden and now a week later it’s looking as good as the day it was made. A few common questions I’ve seen are won’t the potato rot. Yes absolutely, but that’s only a concern if you live in a hot country, in a cool climate like mine you will get a good few weeks before any issues. The potato also helps to keep the foliage alive too, meaning you will not come home to a load of empty branches one day because all the needles dropped off 🤣 While it’s not the usual wreath shape, now it’s been up a week I actually think I prefer it. In fact what we ended up doing is making a traditional wreath and using this one on the door of our side gate. The best part is once Christmas is over you can add the whole thing into the compost, and let it rot down into garden gold. This is definitely one to try this weekend, Thank you so much for watching, I love you all, and will be back next week in the countdown to Christmas for more fun videos, Joe 😊🙏🎄🎁☃️ #wreath #diychristmasdecor #homemadechristmas #gardening
