@veronia.spaine: A good salary can hide a lot of financial vulnerability. That’s one of the biggest reasons I became so focused on paying off my debt. If you’re tired of relying on your next paycheck to keep everything afloat and you’re ready to finally pay off your debt, DM me “money” to learn about 1:1 coaching.

Tbh managing money is a skill that needs to be learned! Maturing is realising most good savers are taught this at a young age! It’s never too late to start though 🫶🏼

My biggest wake up call came in 2025 when I sat down and listed all the debtors and the respective balances. Because it's one thing to arbitraroly know of your debt but there is nothing more sobering than listing each debt line by line and staring at the total and then realizing how much stress your nervous system is under because of this debt. Once you then make a plan to get out of the debt, this step alone reduces that burden and you start to realize it's possible. It takes serious discipline but the key is to start chipping away at it and sticking to your debt repayment plan.

completely agree. my wife was made redundant 2 years ago and the money changes I have done since then! 4 months emergency fund built, stock & shares isa for future us, and saved for a big life expense. also switched from pcp to getting second hand and paying off that small loan atm. I also switch jobs for a higher salary
