@mykindamum: Funny how ridiculous these responses sound when we say them to literally anyone else. Yet mums are given these lines on repeat any time they talk about the challenges they’re facing with parenting. “We wouldn’t have it any other way” “Cherish every second” “Just you wait until…” There seems to be some kind of conspiracy that if you admit you’re struggling, it must mean you regret having children or resent them in some way. But the two things are not mutually exclusive… You can love your children deeply AND admit that some parts are hard. You can be grateful AND feel exhausted. It’s normal to feel lucky AND overwhelmed. Wouldn’t it be nice if, instead of dismissing how hard something feels, people could just say: “Yeah, that sounds really tough.” No disclaimer needed. No silver lining. Because Mums don’t need reminding how lucky they are. They need space to be honest. #Motherhood #MumLife #ParentingReality #HonestMotherhood #MumsSupportingMums
‘You can’t even imagine your life without them!’ Well I can actually it was only two years ago? I mean I don’t want my life without them but I certainly can still imagine how peaceful en quiet my life was 😅

Being told to treasure every moment when my baby had colic was so gaslighty like… this is objectively not good right? It’s impossible to enjoy?

My second child is making the best use of their lungs, and I can already tell you that being screamed in the face at 2am will NOT be missed 😂😂😂

I feel like if you feel this way you're just naturally not a person that enjoys motherhood/parenthood and that's ok ,there's just different people out there some people can be good parents but not really enjoy it as much as someone else ,for me it's not miserable and it does go by very fast they will only be so little and so adorable for such a short time then it's gone
