any tips for resource guarding/reactivity for tripods? my boy was hit by a car 1.5 years ago and had multiple surgeries, including an amputation, and when i got him he warmed up super fast to me but growls and lunges at people who walk into my room that he doesn’t know and bares his teeth at other dogs and tries to run away from them

How do you get dogs not to pull while they are on leads, I have a German and Australian shepherd mix that is very well trained socially, crate trained, non aggressive, very friendly, all good things but she doesn’t behave well when it’s time to go for a walk. any tips for a new dog in a cat household, the dog is 9, we adopted him from a euthanasia list at our local shelter, he is good with my toddler, and other dogs from the shelter, but when he sees my cat he has a interest i just can’t tell if it is a good or bad one, we have a crate, and keeping him on a leash but my cat rarely will come out and it’s his house. i don’t like him feeling like this

hey! quick question! how do you, EFFECTIVELY, get rid of food guarding? My frenchie, everytime I feed her, even if she is in the room, and her food is on the other side of the room, she will growl and try to jump and bite me if I put my hand down. We tried to correct this as a puppy, but the only one she doesnt do it to is my dad.

I just got a female pitbull pup, i also have a 3 year old female pitbull. The 3 year old doesn’t attack puppy but she refuses to go near her/ runs away/ looks very uncomfortable around her. And sometimes growls when pup comes near her. How do i get her fully comfortable around puppy?

Do you have any knowledge or opinions on the American akita breed? And same sex aggression with them? I have a 3 year old female American bully, and a 13 week old female American akita, Turkish kangal mix. Any tips on preventing future problems.

I have a male pitbull mix he is very very female friendly and for certain people teenage male friendly he doesn’t like grown men and he doesn’t like male dogs at all he will not let them in the bedroom without attacking and he is very dominant I let him stay with my female friend who does not have other dogs and he is doing amazing but I want to learn to socialize him so I can have my dog he is a very anxious boy and has only attacked a human when they got into his space as he was growling but with male dogs he does not give a growl warning it’s mainly immediate when I am there he is good with all cats and all female dogs

Hi! Small question but important, how would I go about helping my dog taco, a chihuahua mix, who has a problem attacking dogs who are being carried or hugged. For example, if I tried to pick up my other small dog, she would immediately try to attack the dog I carried when I put them down. I would love to hear! Thank you!

Do you train the dogs to not do any violent things or do you just keep the dogs? I’m actually very confused about what you do because if you’re taking in dogs like these I would guess you’re trying to stop their agressive behaviors.
