Do we allow the risk of heading to change the game? There are studies showing neuro degenerative risk with soccer players and especially those who head the ball more. The connection is not direct in those studies. But there are newer studies with biomarkers that also suggest possible acute changes with heading . While these changes resolve after rest there is obvious concern that there may be cumulative damage. So now what? I think people need information to make their own decisions.
