I remember something similar happened to me. I was babysitting while they went to a party. Was told they would be back by 11pm… they came back at 4am and was mad at the fact I fell asleep on the couch ( all the kids had been fed bathed and were fast asleep so I didn’t see an issue)

When I was a teenager in the 90s, I was babysitting for a family while they were at work for the day. I had another babysitting gigs that evening for a different family. The family called the landline to let me know that they decided they were going out tonight. I let them know. I had another family I needed to babysit for. When they let me know that they were going out and would not be home. They were very surprised when they came home that night and I had the other family’s children and their home as well. I did get permission from the second family to bring the kids over to the first family‘s house. Why was I 13 making adult decisions for two families children?
