@lovanetennis: When people think about getting faster on the court, they usually think about sprinting. But tennis speed starts with your feet. These five step drills aren’t meant to make you run faster across the court. They’re designed to improve how quickly and efficiently you organize your feet before every movement. Each drill challenges a different part of your footwork: 1️⃣ Quick Step Switch – Develops rhythm and quick weight transfers. 2️⃣ Step Skips – Improves foot speed and the ability to produce fast, controlled ground contacts. 3️⃣ 360 Step Skips – Adds movement in every direction while maintaining balance and coordination. 4️⃣ In-Out Step – Trains quick repositioning of the feet, making it easier to adjust before changing direction or setting up for a shot. 5️⃣ Single-Leg In-Out – Builds single-leg stability, ankle stiffness, and control—qualities you’ll use on almost every point. One thing that’s often misunderstood is that moving your feet faster doesn’t automatically make you a better mover. The goal is to get your feet in the right place at the right time. Better footwork gives you more time to prepare, better balance through the shot, and a more consistent contact point. Train your feet, and the rest of your game becomes easier. 🔥 Save this routine for your next footwork session. 💬 Which drill are you adding to your training first? #tennistraining #tennisfootwork #tenniscoaching
