I think that I have not been true to myself in many many years. And now my content creator side is actually who I’ve always been. And I think that that makes the people closest to me feel like they are seeing a new side to me that they are not familiar with.

Why should friends/family watch my content just because it’s me? If they are genuinely interested in my niche then happy days, otherwise don’t waste your time. Support from family comes in many different forms beyond a like or engagement

I get it now. The only thing is, my friends are part of my niche content, and it's only promoting them too. They even admit to watching my posts, but don't even like it 🤷

I think it’s so childish when people complain about f&f not liking their posts. I don’t make content for them. I get social media is chill time and they are probably looking for escapism and a brain break. Not a second job liking all my stuff. They are there for me in the real world, that’s all that matters. Not how many posts they like. It’s really not that deep

A friend of mine asked me if I was ok because "I looked upset" in a video, it was very awkward cause I wasn’t really upset, it was only my content creator persona speaking, but for a moment I got self conscious and thought "This is exactly why I didn't want to people learn that I’m creating content”

This is why I’m on tik tok with no one I know. They tanked my algorithm on insta and frankly, I feel too self-conscious under their gaze. I can be more honest & experimental here.
