Between the end of s4 and half s5 i almost cried. I "skipped" Samurai Jack as kid because i was like 2/3 y.o even tho I exeperienced the golden era of CN. I watched it some months ago,I'm almost 21, but I'm happier I did now and not back then, It stuck with me deeply. This was far more than a kid's show, it was like nothing else, when it starts to get real and heavy because it does,it hits you pretty hard and you can barley explain the whole exeperience.

One of the greatest final seasons of all time. My god, I don't think people realise this enough: Samurai Joke is a series made for children, that got cancelled in season 4 and was renewed for a 5th season. It's creators understood something profound, that their audience grew up and were facing the harshness of the real world. And they made something beautiful that reflected that. SJ s5 deals with issues like: aimlessness, depression, apathy, failure in your most important goals, and even suicidal thought. It deals with all of these issues without sacrificing the context of the show. Throughout the course of the season Jack becomes renewed and recharged and he finally succeeds in what he's been working so hard for. He returns to his past, peaceful and quiet. He's lost things, but he's succeeded in the end. He never gave up.
