Silicone!!! The metal ones can be dangerous too😅 if you fall with a metal straw in your mouth you’re gonna puncture the roof of your mouth! I prefer silicone

This whole glass straw controversy is so stupid. It’s all about the quality and how you handle them, personally I will continue to use them because I like them and I don’t CRUSH my ice with it? There is literally no reason to be scared of them if you handle them right. Like it’s not like you would throw out all of your glasses if one got a chip in it? It’s the same thing and straws often have even thicker glass than some glasses.
