Iconic by mistake. Context: Some random vlogger passed by us while we were doing a shoot around 12am-2am. Yes, that late. Why? Ang lakas kasi ng ulan buhong maghapon tapos may kapitbahay kaming nagbirthday kaya hindi kami lumabas na naka horror drag, so naghintay na lang kami and took our time w our make up and costumes. So ayon 12AM na at pumunta na kami sa place kasi wala nang ulan at tapos na rin yung birthday party. We were taking pictures of me sa gitna ng kalsada. May narinig kaming paparating na naka motorcycle, and ofc yung first instinct naming naka horror costumes ay magtago kasi we didn’t want to cause any scares or worse, any accident. It took me a bit of time to move tho bcs my gown was heavy, pero ayon nagtago muna kami sa side ng kalsada pero naabutan at nakita nya ako. So ayon he passed by na, and our shoot resumed. Ff to 20-30mins later, nung pauwi na kami, bumalik sha together with his relatives(?). As soon as he got off his motorcycle, he pulled out his phone to record us without any consent (if you’ve seen the viral video on the blue app, yes, kami po yonch). Tinataasan kami ng boses nung kasama nyang babae tas andaming say ni kuya. He stopped us from running away or whatever kasi he called the authorities on us daw. Dumating na yung mga pulis and nagsumbong sha sa nangyari. He deada$$ assumed we were vloggers pulling prank scares on people. Inexplain namin to him and the police na we were doing a shoot for art and portfolio purposes only. Our discourse with the authoritieswent on for about 15mins ata? We kept explaining our side and we also listened to his, tapos we said sorry din of course kasi we really did not intend to cause any harm or pull a prank on him, kasi if we were, we would’ve tried to escape when he mentioned he called the authorities on us. So ayon, we settled it na, we agreed na it was just a misunderstanding, yada yada, and moved on. Pag-uwi namin, we checked the blue app if inupload nya yung vid na he took on his phone, wala naman, so we went to bed na lang. Pag gising ko, he already uploaded the vid and it blew up given na may almost 100k followers pala sha. The video garnered over 800k views before I asked him to take it down. What I just don’t understand tho is that necessary pa ba talagang ipost yung video na yon without our consent? Para saan? For awareness?—when we already explained our intent and purpose for the shoot and it was basically just a misunderstanding between both parties. Para pagkakitaan kami ng pera o ipahiya sa mga tao? What’s worse tho were the comments from his reel. There were TONS of hate comments like “kung ako nakaencounter nyan, baka nabaril ko na yan”.
