i had a mpfl reconstruction trochleoplasty and open retinacular lengthening two weeks ago. my doctor told me no brace and i can put full weight on it and also walk on it. i was confused to why he didn’t have me in a brace or crutches but then learned that being in a brace can make recovery longer, however every person and every doctor is different. anyways, i hope you have a speedy recovery and hope it gets easier for you everyday!

I have the same one! It’s the best feeling when you get to upgrade. Just make sure to get it adjusted as your swelling goes down. I also had them bend mine a bit so it wasn’t touching my incision!
