In another interview Peter first says xana and Ethan went back to his apartment AFTER the lodge party to gather their things. That makes it sound like he saw them at his apartment AFTER the party. Later, he says the lodge was the last place he saw them, around 1:20–1:25 a.m. If they really went back to his apartment AFTER the party, then his apartment—not the lodge—would seem to be the last place he saw them. Another thing that stands out is when he was asked where they were going, he said he was “just assuming” they were going back home. That suggests he didn’t actually know their plans and wasn’t told where they were going. This doesn’t automatically mean he was being dishonest. It could simply be a memory issue, poor wording, or confusion during the interview. But it does create a reasonable question: if they returned to his apartment after the party, why did he later say the lodge was the last place he saw them?

There are two ‘lodges’ … one is at Sigma Chi ( the long building near the courtyard) and then there is a house on Taylor called ‘The Lodge ‘ … many times you will find duplicate names and duplicate named places in Moscow … anyway I’ll tag you in my posts of the house on Taylor and the backyard space behind it … it’s the house that the backyard joins 1119

I’m not saying Peter was lying, but some of his statements don’t seem to line up perfectly. At one point, he says Xana and Ethan came back to his apartment after the party to get their things. If that’s what happened, then it sounds like he saw them after they left the lodge. But later, he says the lodge was the last place he saw them around 1:20–1:25 a.m. If they went back to his apartment afterward, wouldn’t his apartment have been the last place he saw them? Another thing that stood out to me was when he was asked where they were going. He said he was “just assuming” they were going home. That sounds like he didn’t actually know where they were headed. Then there’s the statement, “They said they were gonna come with us, but nobody remembers them coming with us there,” which raises additional questions about the sequence of events.
