I’m so glad I retired before all these new freons came out. R-11 R-12 R-22 and R-502 were great Products. MP-39 409 were good replacements for R-12, R-404 was a good choice for R-502 HP-80 was definitely the worst. When 410A came out I replaced so Condensing coils

I did not know how long 454b took to measure acutely. 30 to 45 minutes is a long time. I've only been waiting 20 minutes or so for new start-ups. I guess that explains why I would see 2⁰ of subcool and by the time I set everything up and added 3oz the target 8⁰ subcool is reached.

Oil saturation/flooding in the evap..there’s a proper way to open the service valves when new but putting 1-2psi in the lineset first
