PSSR. Same concept. Its started a console war between PS5 Base users and Pro users. Its a difference maker for sure.

It replaces traditional aa methods like taa or msaa using less pixels happened cause recontruction was doable at rates of 1/3 to to 2/3 re of og resolution. Dlss and fsr4 also have game data devs feed to so its not just merely rendering at less pixels either. You’re not forced to do the upscaling portion but dlaa and sgssaa are not cheap for rendering ever if you want a clean image unless we are talking super old titles.
