The real problem isn't turning off the people pleasing, it's finding a person worth turning it off for. Like maybe once a month do I have an interaction that i think it might be worth it to let a little bit of the real me drip into. And it's usually a mistake, so it's back to being a shadow

I've never been a people pleaser and the friendship I have lost it was probably just from being blatantly honest like I feel like I'm honest and respectful but I could work on how I say things but I'm not going to be the friend that agrees with you on everything and I feel like when people notice that they go. and It hurts because I'm also very loyal and care a lot about others and listen but I don't usually get the same attitude back
