Lestat making the point her life will be horrible because she was in a child’s body made me believe in him more than loui. The HUGE thing people look over. Claudia deserved so much more. The dark gift not being one of them.

After the second season I’ve started to see Lestat as the mother who never wanted to be a mother. He was cruel to them both, but I think he really did love her

They both loved her. Love isn’t enough to be a good parent though. You can love someone and still fail them every step of the way when you don’t heal the broken things in yourself first. Love isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. It can be ugly and heartbreaking because love is as complex as every other human emotion.

"you will regret this for the rest of your life" -as he also says to himself. also they don't talk in depth that the mountains and valleys are because her brain is also physically unable to grow so she will mentally regress to the age she was turned as well, which would turn her mad. especially in the book at 5yrs old. eventually like a vampire with dementia over time. and she was still his perfect ans favorite progeny he ever created. I hope they show his grief accurately.

Lestat warned Louis. Told him what would happen as has happened to so many others. He gave her to Louis knowing that it may break him, but did it because he couldn’t say no.
