You said to avoid Miami Beach because south pointe and north beach are better… those are also considered Miami Beach beaches. And key biscayne is sewer water.

I live in South Florida 30+ years and this is very accurate which is why us locals stay away from SoBe there as so many better beach spots and honestly I prefer Palm Beach, Delray Bch, Ft Lauderdale over Miami Beach any day! My Favorite beach is Deerfield Beach…. And yes The traffic in Miami is insane we like to say that Miami is a hour from Miami… lol

Im from Miami born and raised. Your post is probably the most accurate description of Miami I have seen to date. It even made me laugh with the melting now glowing. I genuinely hope your post goes viral so people can know what to expect for real. What irks me sometimes is people thinking Miami is just south beach and a small piece of Brickell.

Miami is so overrated… so glad I moved out after +20yrs. West coast of Florida is so much better. If you want actual blue water and nice beaches, go to Destin.

Sunny isles is the prefect beach to go to! Just returned on Saturday. No sarrgasm no craziness. Stayed in NB and it was perfect

Citi bikes, and walking if you can. Uber only when necessary. My hubby and I are here for our second time and this time we opted to walk or use Citi bikes. We used uber when I wanted to wear heels or when we had an excursion to get to. And yes I only stay in mid beach or north beach and go to south beach just to visit for a few hours.
