AI can do that, we just all need to decide if that’s how we want to use it. If we do then one new job in the film industry might be as a dialogue prompt engineer.

It’s odd that what Allen describes (using existing words to string together new sentences in a practice known as a Frankenbiting) is the traditional method that doesn’t use any generative AI at all and has been around forever. Training an AI on his voice and having a future actor’s performance guide it would be… a different technology altogether.

I love when the comment section is full of people who type first and ask questions later. AI is just a combination of the information on the internet. So when he says that AI lacks the ability to mimick human inflection he is completely correct. But I also have to remember that the majority of people commenting have been taught by AI so they probably won’t care about my comment at all.
