Autism mom here too and thank you for posting! My oldest is level 3 nonverbal and what he can handle versus his younger brother is so different. We have definitely done different things for my oldest based on his preferences and what we think he'll enjoy. Family often doesn't understand, but it makes so much sense to me. You're doing an amazing job! 🤗

As someone with autism, I definitely enjoy the more quiet, laid back type of fun! Theme parks/large crowds are my worst nightmare, but I still love to travel and I always manage to find other activities to do that aren't as overwhelming. And sometimes even if you do everything right to set yourself up to have a good day out, you still end up overstimulated and just need to relax at the hotel with some snacks
