My papa was a pastor with elderly members and one time when I was later teens and had dabbled a bit (cuz I mean all us pastor kids do 😂) the grape juice for communion had fermented and I had smelled it while we were passing it and I whispered to my grandma that it smelled like alcohol and she shushed me so we took the communion “shot” and a few mins later she leans to me and whispers “you were right. That definitely was fermented.”💀😭

My church used to make this bread for communion that was more like dough tbh. But it was so good. I would go to the kitchen after service and eat the leftovers. ☠️
