it's the suggestion line, when you should stop for emergencies and such. like if you need quick heals or to jump away with one of the other fule characters.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure it was originally used for pharahs fuel to show the minimum amount she needed to use to be able to fly and they just reused the same bar for every hero with some sort of fuel meter

It's useless on everybody. Pharah, Hog, Dva, Doom, and anyone else who has it that i can't think of. Other than being an indicator that you're low on that resource, it doesn't do anything (you cant even make that argument for Doom) And it's not like it's showing you the minimal amount you have to have in order to be able to use it.

They do. It lets you know when you’re low on it. Or at least.. it lets me know I’m getting low so I stop and don’t use it all..

It’s just a visual to show you if you’re close to running out. That’s really it. Especially since it’s a white bar this can blend in with lighter backgrounds on your screen.
