@daniellejmitchell: Late term termination for medical reasons is something I was so privileged to be uneducated on. I hope it’s a choice you and your family never have to face, but we are at peace with our decision, our baby girl is very sick and fighting every day, she isn’t compatible with life outside of the womb with her chromosomal abnormality and isn’t thriving inside either. She has major defects affecting 6 body systems, and even if by “miracle” she was to make it to full term, and survive birth, open heart surgeries, stomach surgery and brain surgery, she’d still never walk, talk, eat, or breath on her own.
