I've (and my husband) literally stopped going to the movies for this reason. For a minute, we stopped going to anything under R rated, then we stopped going to movies altogether. Sorry, not doing it anymore, not spending that money.

You are not in the wrong at all! I don't think any kid under 13 should be there. My kids are 8 and 6, I know that's younger but I definitely wouldn't bring them! Honestly anything above PG 13 unless its something that has the rating because of swearing
