@waylonbayes3: When Mamaw first told me that she was going to give me their house after she and Papaw were gone, she said these words: “Love the house and respect it, but don’t get too comfortable.” The gravity of those words hit me deeply. At that point in my life, I was singing as much gospel music as I could, but to say I had a relationship with the Man I was singing to and about would have been far-fetched. Though I love the house and the memories that place holds, it is only home temporarily. I’m thankful that I now have a relationship with this Man called Jesus. But most of all, when my soul leaps from this old body, it is His face that I will see. This was the last song I played for Mamaw. Her last words on this earth were, “Home.
