For Christmas back in I think 2005 my brothers (4 and 9) got a Nintendo DS and an XBox 360 Halo Edition respectively - that my parent bought with their own money. I (10) got a crappy art set from our town's local donation Christmas donation for needy kids. My family STILL doesn't understand why I refuse to talk to any of them anymore.

yeah, this happened to me with a car (I got a used one, both my sister and brother got new ones), with phones (I had my old one, my sister got new ones every year) and trips (I didn't get a graduation trip because my mom paid for a trip for my sister to see her bf, even though she had failed one course at uni). Good times (that's why I live an ocean away)

My brother broke our joint Xbox, and I got a new phone for my birthday (3 days before his, because I hadn't had one for around 7 months) and BECAUSE I got a phone, HE got a new PLAYSTATION!! It's in MY bedroom and I STILL have to ask him for permission to use it

for my brothers birthday my parents ended up throwing him a birthday party, giving him around $180, and a $50 game for my console. I ended up asking for my Playstation to get fixed while I had gone to see my family and I came back and they gave me a gift card for $15 and said be grateful. and acted confused when I had a bad attitude.

I have asked for an electric guitar for the past 4 Christmas and bdays and on my 16th it was the singular thing I asked for no sweet sixteen or anything the singular thing I wanted was that, guess who got a guitar at her next birthday even tho she hadn't ever mentioned wanting one. my little sister. (mind you I've mentioned wanting to play since I was like 10 but "I've never heard you mention it this is coming out of nowhere")

I know this feeling all too well. I grew up in a single parent house hold, and my brother was always the favorite. What irritated me is he always got gifts on my birthdays, but it was never the same for me.

At some point my brother had two Xbox’s, a hedgehog as a gift for doing good in an exam and a pc set up. I had some laptop that took half an hour to turn on and would die within ten minutes, it ended up breaking and I had to save up to buy myself a new one. I had also gotten top marks in a test at school once and got nothing, whilst my brother got like a decent score and got a whole hedgehog bro
