Sometimes MIL over step boundaries. Your son will always be your son , but he has a wife now who is his #1. MIL need to take a step back. Let them find their way together and don't make it a competition. I am a MIL I would never cause drama for them !! Period

I was estranged from my son, all l did was to send texts, keeping in touch, never asking anything for myself, just light spirted messages. I kept my thoughts in the day and one day the magic happened, he is in my life now and we have a stronger relationship, the darkest moments bring the brightest light .

My mother in law would say this about me. I have continuously tried and tried to be the woman she would like. I have done nothing wrong but I married her only son. I left England and all my family and moved to Australia so he can be closer to his family. They hate me. We don’t see them much but not because of me but because she doesn’t like me. I didn’t take my sick kids to her house on Mother’s Day and she was livid. I said they are sick and it’s Mother’s Day not grandmothers day but she is most welcome to come to my house but I was not taking her kids out. We go to her house for every holiday and birthdays. My kids are a bit older now and they see how they treat us. I have never we r once said they can’t come over and see the kids and I would never put my husband in a position to choose. I am so disappointed that I try and left everything and she blames me.
