Anecdotally, I see it all the time and it’s so sad. Also, they might not leave but they might look for comfort elsewhere. All anecdotally and in my experience.

This is rooted in biology and anthropology. Men want youth, perfection, aesthetic and little mental stress. Anything that threatens these attributes puts a marriage at risk. Teach your daughters to rely on themselves.
