I’m this strict. Children are so abused and unprotected at the hands of their primary care givers. People should have to prove intellectually and financially that they are ready.

anyone can loose their income at any second. You can get injured on a job and be out months, most high risk pregnant women have to quit their jobs, you can have your identity stolen and it ruin your life, someone you love passes away destroying your mental health, ect. And what if the child is born to a low income household? then what? would you want to take the kid from their family and put them in a foster system? would you adopt them out to the families you financially deem fit? what if they arnt adopted like the countless children that havent been today? would you enforce an abortion even when the mother siad no? And what about marginalized groups that actively get paid less or are given less opportunities? They dont deserve to have kids because they are struggling to survive in a system build to bring them down and keep them stuck? Many women couldn't even have a bank account until 50 years ago, were they bad mothers? a couple who lives in small house, that grows their own food and fishes in a near by lake deserves kids less than these billionaires that have been proven time and time again they hurt children for entertainment? you value money too much if you think having it makes you a competent, responsible, and caring person fit to be a parent. this kind of ideology makes way for the idea that poor people are less valuable, undesirable, cruel, and unwilling to work, and it allows to thrive in this capitalistic world that benefits from the poor getting poorer.
