I think one of the biggest problems is not having a realistic expectation of what marriage is and means to each of you. Understand that your marriage is a sacred covenant with your husband and God. You have to be equally yoked and emotionally mature to have honest,open communication. You need to talk to each other about the things you both want (material, financial, family, career etc.). Then make a plan for the future so you know your goals and can agree on what that looks like. Lastly, you get up everyday and pick your spouse to be your forever partner. My husband and I been together a long and knowing that we pick each other to love every single day is the most beautiful thing we could ever give each other. I have his back and he has mine no matter how hard or crazy life may get, we are each other’s rock. We may get frustrated at times but that’s when we really draw each other in, listen to each others feelings to figure it out rationally.
