overnight, on wet/damp hair. i put mine in a bun ALMOST and wrap the hair around the band, if that makes sense.

it could also be the curling iron ur using. i have an ancient philips one that has a super thin bar that works but recently got one off amazon with a thicker barell and as soon as i brush through after using it the curls are barely even waves

Your hair seems to have a natural wave to it, so try going with that wave/curl pattern bc if you’re curling the “wrong” direction that would explain why it doesn’t hold on some areas

for curls i’ve noticed if u have super healthy hair they literally WONT HOLd i didn’t use heat protectant a couple times and now my hair curls sm easier caus its a bit damaged if that makes snese
