Gold is moving… but it’s not actually going anywhere. 👀 And that’s exactly what traders need to understand heading into next week. Despite all the volatility, gold has essentially returned to the same area around 4180 where we finished the previous week. We pushed higher, retested the lows, and bounced straight back up. A lot of movement. Very little progress. On the weekly timeframe, gold is still rejecting higher-timeframe demand, suggesting buyers may be accumulating positions. But on the 4H timeframe? We still have no confirmed direction. And until something changes, I’m treating this market as a range. 📈 SCENARIO 1 — BUYERS DEFEND DEMAND Gold retraces into our fresh 1H demand → buyers step in → price pushes toward the range highs. But the real confirmation comes with a break above 4230. Only then would I start looking for a more convincing bullish continuation. 📉 SCENARIO 2 — DEMAND FAILS Gold breaks below fresh demand → sellers maintain control → price returns to retest the previous lows. That would suggest the market needs more downside liquidity before any meaningful recovery. Here’s the important part: A rejection from weekly demand doesn’t automatically mean buyers have regained control. And a bearish move inside a range doesn’t automatically mean the downtrend is continuing. Until 4230 breaks, gold could simply keep playing ping-pong between support and resistance. 🏓 This is where patience matters. You don’t need to trade every move inside consolidation. Sometimes the best decision is to wait for the market to show its hand. 4230 is the bullish confirmation. Fresh demand is the immediate support. Until one side takes control, I’m trading the levels, not predicting the breakout.
