There’s a limit and balance to this though, I agree that he shouldn’t be expected to move just like a human would in real life, that’s unfair, but he doesn’t get accused of “plot armour” because “people want him to be grounded” he gets accused of plot armour because even in the context of his verse, he’s performing feats that if any other human character was performing, the feats would either be treated as outliers or just result in the character getting flamed. It’s “fiction” isn’t a valid excuse for EVERYTHING he does, he’s a EXTREMELY strong peak human but there has to be a limit, there HAS to, otherwise the idea of metahumans becomes obsolete and meaningless

Every character has plot armor, but Batman’s is ridiculously toonish, no matter how peak of a Human you are, it wouldn’t help you with things like a fall from space, like I previously stated you can’t power scale Batman because his feats are too infrequent 🤷🏾♂️

I think the “plot armor” argument became popular because the grounded adaptations of Batman, especially from Nolan and Matt Reeves, became widely popular among A lot of general audiences. These adaptations have, in a way, poisoned the perception of A lot of general fans by making them believe that the extremely grounded and realistic version of Batman is the only “true” Batman. Because of that, they cannot comprehend how powerful comic book Batman actually is when they see his feats in the comics, so they use the plot armor argument to explain it. However, that argument is flawed because, by that logic, almost every street-tier character would have plot armor. Since Batman: Year One, it has already been established that Bruce Wayne is far beyond a normal human and has physical abilities close to a super-soldier level.

Batman does have plot armour bevause if you read the stories of Superman, Flash, MM and GL you will realize they do what he does just as effectively but for some reason they all forget when Batman is in the story
