KAZUI sightseeing boat sank off the Shiretoko Peninsula in eastern Hokkaido and took the lives of 20 passengers and crew. Six others are still missing. Prosecutors accused the president that the weather advisories for strong winds and rough seas had already been issued when the boat departed, hence making the accident possible. So the court ruled five-year prison sentence.
