@faithfundx: Most people define success by a number in a bank account, a title on a business card, or the size of a house. We admire wealthy people because we assume their success proves they are wiser, smarter, or somehow better than everyone else. But wealth alone has never been God’s definition of success. Many people become wealthy because of opportunities, timing, relationships, or circumstances that worked in their favor. Financial success is not always a measure of wisdom, character, or God’s approval. The Bible teaches a very different perspective. You can have millions of dollars and still be spiritually bankrupt. You can have a modest income, yet build a strong family, walk closely with God, impact others, and live a life of true significance. Jesus never measured success by possessions. In heaven’s eyes, success is not about how much money you accumulate but about how faithfully you live and how many lives are brought closer to God through your influence. As Jesus said: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) And what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? (Mark 8:36) The Apostle Paul also reminded believers: “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” (1 Timothy 6:6) So before we ask, “How much money does someone have?” perhaps we should ask a better question: What does God call success? According to Scripture, true success is not measured by wealth, status, or possessions. True success is knowing God, walking in obedience, serving others, building a godly family, and helping even one more person find eternal life through Christ. That’s the kind of success that lasts forever.
