As someone with bipolar we subconsciously mask our behaviour infront of children and as someone that is also a mom I tend to argue with my partner when my daughter is not around or in bed just because I know she is innocent and doesn’t deserve to grow up around that it’s weird but I can not control myself when my daughter or nieces are not around me

Yes I’m the same with kids I have 3 young brothers and I’m a carer for the elderly I’ve opened up to people at work that I have bipolar and mental health and they said we never could even tell

my Dad adopted me when he was early twenties, I think 20 even. I have a better relationship with him than I do my biological mother. He's become a father figure for a lot of people I know as well, including my husband. He was always meant to be a Dad, I feel like this is how you are as well. Some people are just meant to be parents.
