Winter, signing quietly, quickly, and nervously: “Shut up! She understands expressions. Don’t say those perverted things.” Karina looks at both of them. She doesn’t know sign language, but she knows how to read faces perfectly. And Winter’s face—completely red and on the verge of a breakdown—says everything. She crosses her arms but smiles playfully. Karina, calmly: “I think I understand more than you think.” Her gaze settles on Winter. “Giselle, translate. What did your sister say about me?” Giselle pretends to be innocent, but her victorious smile gives her away. Giselle: “She said you look like you love coming here for more than just notes.
