People are taught to reward or respond to fake niceties or the illusion of kindness. True authentic people won’t show love in the performative way, they’ll do it in a way that fortifies you. I don't call myself anything because it is up to the person experiencing me to decide what I am. I'm not good or bad until it's time for me to show up and be present within the world. some people will see me as evil, some as "good", "nurturing", or "caring". and there's not much I can do to change that. so, instead of performing what I think is goodness, I am just myself. I know I want what's best for people and if I'm being the most authentic version of myself that I can be, then I will find "my people" and others I deem as "good". but I got hurt too many times chasing that performance of goodness.
