You're not a failure, you're doing a good job. You need to take a few hours to yourself and just breathe. I know it sucks. But if your kids are laughing in life then you're doing a fantastic job.

Lean on extended family & friends. Give yourself "grace" for not being able to do "everything" for your children. Assign them rotating household chores to help you (pick up their toys, sports equipment, doing dishes, taking out the trash, etc.). Stay strong. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

You are not a failure. You are grieving. Being married means that two people have become one and shared everything together that was good and bad. Now half of you is ripped away and you are being strong like a man would do. It’s ok to not be strong, time is your greatest adversary and healer. When you are stressed and struggling give it all to God. He will give you peace and my prayers for you in this time of your journey. God bless

yes I did too but I raised 2 children worked 70 hour weeks not much sleep but I did it I got them both graduated all you can do is the best that you can and provide a better life for them than I had I had a good role model my mother raised 3 boys on her own just take a minute and just look at your children and really see who they are becoming

I really appreciate your story. It means a lot to hear from someone who chose not to jump into another relationship after divorce, but instead focused on healing and putting their kids first. I'm in a very similar place, taking my time, working on myself, and making my children my top priority, even when doing everything on my own is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Your perspective really resonated with me.
