that second indicator is the way to tell you you have parried the attack so if you don't parry there's no indicator 😭

second line underneath appears if u gonna hit the parry when u already in parry state, like an indicator, ig that how say it correctly, so that's not the clue to how to parry correct

To parry the monarch just press F when you hear the sound

an alternative is use castigate to cancel every gun (except casti) phoenix is the hardest but is doable

i’m still new (lv 16) but whenever i parry a monarch the user is usually quite far away so i try to get a free hit with a long slash (whatever that thing is called when u hold slide then m1) cuz ppl don’t expect you to rush them

Practice more and enjoy the game, recommend to play Ultrakill for practice. (My criticism about online, I know you disagree but it's true) Online is excellent to play with friends and servers with excellent graphics. Downside, depends on the location of the wifi also run yet very difficult.
