if this is too personal of a question I absolutely understand if you choose to ignore it, but bc of my SO being HOH I am curious of other d/Deaf people's realities... have you consistently lost hearing over time since birth? do you know what % of hearing you have remaining as of currently? if you have lost more over time, does it seem to have happened evenly enough, or did you experience large, more noticeable losses? im not sure what my SOs hearing loss is officially called, but i do know that hims has the tiniest ears likely because they didnt grow and form properly in utero. I believe they are nerves that didnt form which causes his. is your hearing loss similar? less personal questions(lol): do you experience tinnitus? do you grieve losing more hearing capabilities when you notice a change? are you afraid of losing 100% of your hearing, or are you pretty confident in your ability to navigate the world with 0 hearing? 💜☮️🌙
