As much as I like Ronaldo he is a very selfish player. When he plays he plays with a mindset of him being the main character and scoring the goals. Having this mindset is great when he's in his prime. However he's no longer in his prime he needs to play for the team to win not for him to score. Olivier Giroud score 0 goals during the 2018 WC but he contributes to the team playing as a target man. He can still contribute without scoring but his ego is too big for this.
