The river Lech still carries the name of the Lechites who fought Tiberius Caesar. Priest Dołęga compiled a map of the original Polish place names in what is now Germany. Chroniclers like Boguchwał, Długosz, and Kadłubek recorded that Queen Wanda and her warriors founded cities across a land called Vandalia - centuries before Christ in the territory Rome later called Germania.
