A path where grief is not weakness. A path where service is not just helping – it is healing. When the poem says, “our world is darkness, and service is light,” it is speaking about the kind of service that saves a person from themselves. The kind of service where you stand at the door of Hussain (as) with all your tiredness, all your sins, all your broken pieces, and you say: “I may not have much to offer, but let me offer what I can.” Because the commemoration of Hussain (as) is not only for the perfect. It is for the exhausted. It is for the guilty. It is for the heart that drifted far and wants to come back. It is for the one who does not know how to explain their pain, but knows that one tear for Hussain says everything. The poem asks: the one who does not have Hussain, where will his ending be? And that question hurts, because without Hussain (as), where do we take our grief? Where do we place our shame? Where do we go when this world disappoints us again and again?
